It is not a requirement to book through a specialist music industry travel agent. To be eligible for the Musician’s Additional Baggage Allowance, Qantas requires notice of 2 or more business days prior to departure.
The additional baggage allowance is subject to aircraft loads and cannot be guaranteed that it will be accepted. The approved allowance of 3 pieces is the total allowance permitted and not in addition to the standard allowance.
Airport Excess Baggage charges apply to customers with a maximum weight limit of 23kg per piece who exceed that limit. No single piece of baggage may exceed 32kg.
Discount Type
Additional baggage allowance permitting members to travel with a total of three pieces per musician (instead of the standard allowance) with a weight allowance applicable to their class of travel and Frequent Flyer status.
