Through the City of Port Phillip, live music venues in the municipality can apply for a permit so performers can park in the nearest loading zone to unload their equipment.

Who can apply?
Live music venues registered as a Music Victoria member can apply for a parking permit so that performers can park for up to 30 minutes in a nearby loading zone. Proof of the venue's Music Victoria membership will be requested in the permit application.
What permit is issued?
Venues that are given a permit receive a receipt and City of Port Phillip will proceed to update the nearest loading zone sign. Each venue is entitled to one permit.
How do I use the permit?
The new sign allows vehicles displaying the permit to use that space for up to 30 minutes.
What is the cost?
The 2025/26 permit fee $100.00.
How long does the permit last?
A permit lasts 1 year.
